Ken Webster loves Hyde Park Theatre, the iconic Austin treasure that turns 43 this year (the theater, not Ken!).
Webster, a member of the Austin Arts Hall of Fame, will perform his monologue piece, a history of our beloved space, which was first produced at HPT three years ago, when audiences were still wearing masks. We’ll have tales of Webster’s 46 years in local theatre, 42 years producing at Hyde Park Theatre, and 25 years of running the joint.
We’ll also have video clips from old shows, photos and posters from past shows, one of Webster’s famous question-and-answer sessions with the audience, and more.
Performances are at 8pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 4–20, 2025. Ticket prices range from $25 - $100, and all proceeds go to HPT. Of course we have our iconic Pay What You Can night every Thursday—just call 512-479-PLAY (7529) or write hydeparktheatre@gmail.com
