“A triumph for Shrewd Productions and a landmark moment for Austin theatre. . . . [Megan Gogerty’s script] is a stunningly clever, topical, and heartbreaking modern take on Beowulf, blending the ancient world of monsters and heroes with the very real monsters we still face today. [Katherine Catmull] commands the room with mesmerizing precision. Her portrayal is nothing short of extraordinary: she inhabits Agathae not just through words, but through every breath, gesture, and glance. More than acting; it feels like an invocation. Director Melissa McKnight has crafted a space that allows this magic to unfold with breathtaking clarity. Every element — from the formal dining but evocative set to the immersive arrangement of audience seating — serves to draw us deeper into the mythic atmosphere.”  - Lynn Beaver, Broadway World Austin

“Theatre art of the highest quality . . . vivid and uncomplicated, and yet poetic . . .  gripping, articulate, rapid, yet nuanced.” Michael Meigs, Central Texas Live Theater

A “ferociously intelligent one-woman storm . . . a final, furious dinner party at the end of the world.  . . . Megan  Gogerty’s script is a symphony of wreckage: myth colliding with razor-edged political rage and bitter shards of pop culture.  . . .[Catmull] doesn’t just perform. She inhabits. She is wild, wounded, and funny—and when she locks eyes with you, it scorches.” (Broadway World Austin, Sabrina Wallace)

An ancient magical creature disguised as a middle-aged lady has invited you to her dinner party in order to right a few wrongs. An immersive, visceral theatre experience where mythology crashes into pop culture, FEAST. reimagines the Beowulf story as a warning against the rising forces of authoritarianism. It's a dinner party that's also a one-woman show. It's a cry of resistance against tyranny. It's a revenge tale that ends in reconciliation. It's a FEAST.
