Ronny: Thing is. I'm going to be here longer than I thought.
Jeanine: Here at my place?
Ronny: Yeah. If that's okay. Only if that's okay with you. I can always get a hotel.
Jeanine: Do you have enough money to get a hotel?
Ronny: No.
Jeanine: How will you be able to get a hotel?
Ronny: I won't be able to get a hotel. But I will. If you want me to.

This world premiere from New York playwright Ann Marie Healy is a droll, offbeat comedy about a square Minnesota woman who visits her edgy younger sister in Manhattan --and seems increasingly reluctant to go back home. Romance, adultery, bad poetry, and Billy Joel: just one summer with two very different sisters in the the World's Smallest Studio Apartment.

HPT company members Katherine Catmull , Lee Eddy , and David Jones portray the two sisters and their mysterious neighbor on the roof. Ken Bradley and Brent Werzner make their HPT debuts as Lance and Anthony, the other men in the sisters' lives. Ken Webster directs.

For this production, Hyde Park Theatre has reassembled its award-winning design team from last season's Blur: Leilah Stewart (sets), Brad Carlin (lights), Robert Fisher (sound), and Diane Morrison (costumes).

Performances of Something Someone Someplace Else are March 27 through April 19, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 P.M. Tickets are $15 on Fridays and Saturdays ($13 student, seniors, and ACOT members); Thursdays are pay-what-you-can. On the final weekend, tickets are $16 and $14.
